It is my conviction that a majority of even the best churches in America, while involved in a myriad of good things, are neglecting the practical implications of redemption found in helping the fatherless.  Most do not have a strategy for partaking in true religion.  As a fellow pastor, I pray that this site will help bring this to the attention of leaders who are responsible for the direction of their churches, while giving helpful encouragement and advice.

Local church adoption funds One of the ways I hope to aid churches is by encouraging them to start their own church- based adoption fund.  Many are called to minister to the orphan by giving so that others can adopt.

As the Pastor of Administration and the Mission at Ashland Avenue Baptist Church, I help to lead our church through the of establishing an adoption fund.  The fund is used to aid families in our congregation who are seeking to adopt. In order to strategically distribute funds, AABC partners with ABBA fund.  ABBA fund helps us determine needs and disperses funds to our members through interest free loans and matching grants.  (Lifesong for Orphans is another organization that will help churches establish an adoption fund.)  In an effort to see local churches establish their own adoption fund, I hope to help answer questions for church leaders and connect them with the appropriate people and resources. For questions you can send an email.
