Purpose

Adoption is the gospel.  The reality that God makes those who were once abandoned strangers in the world sons and heirs to His eternal inheritance is the most glorious truth in the world.  This cosmic reality is mirrored in the world when families pursue children who were at one time fatherless, giving them full rights and privileges to their family.

My desire is to use this site to tell my family ‘s adoption story. In hearing our story, I pray you would begin to embrace and tell your own adoption story in Chris.  I also pray that  you would begin to aggressively assist in the care and rescue of orphans around the world who desperately need a story of their own.

  1. Hi Haskins Family. I think I might have talked with Jeremy during CCI Thurs, chats. Anyway my husband and I are in Nicholasville and adopted two boys through CCI. We are getting ready to begin another adoption through CCI. Congratulations!

  2. Hello Jeremy,

My name is Matt St. Pierre. I serve with the Christian Alliance for Orphans, which is a coalition of more than fifty respected Christian ministries committed to adoption, foster care and global orphan care. We’ve really appreciated some of your blog posts on this front, and wanted to ask if you’d be willing to be a part of an effort we’re now organizing.

A core goal of the Alliance is uniting believers to work together on these issues and to speak with a united voice on behalf of orphans. As we’ve seen through recent initiatives like Orphan Sunday, our voice and impact is far more powerful when we’re interconnected and working in unison.

So, we wanted to ask if you’d be willing to be part of our “Bloggers for Orphans” team. All that would involve is us sharing with you an occasional (rarely more than once a month) issue or opportunity that you could choose to highlight on your blog. These would likely range from ways individuals can become more involved in orphan issues (such as Orphan Sunday or the annual Alliance Summit) to newly-released data on orphans. There’d be no obligation—just an occasional email, and our appreciation. You could certainly feel free to cut-and-paste things we share…or give it your own language and analysis…or not use it all.

Please let me know if you’d be willing to be a part of this at matt@christianalliancefororphans.org!

    With Appreciation,

    Matt
